Description
Hungry Hippo is a four station harness game built on a round green arena. Each station is its own coloured pod, blue, orange, red and yellow, with a harness on a retracting cord, and the four fan shaped lanes all run in to a grey stone ring at the center. Event companies, schools and rental operators buy it because it plays fast, it plays loud, and a crowd gathers around it on its own.

Design details
- Round green arena with four player stations spaced evenly around the outside
- Stations in blue, orange, red and yellow, each with its own fan shaped lane running to the middle
- A harness on a retracting cord anchored at every station
- Grey stone ring at the center of the arena where the four lanes meet
- High curved back wall behind each station to catch a player as the cord pulls them home
- Cartoon hippo panel printed on the station walls and a printed rules panel on the outer wall
Where it earns
Four people play at once, which is the whole economic argument. Throughput is four times a single lane game, the round finishes in seconds, and the queue keeps moving instead of stalling, so a single attendant can run it all day at a corporate field day, a school carnival, a grad night, a festival or a fundraiser. It also draws its own audience, because the four coloured pods and the tug of war in the middle are readable from across a field, and spectators become the next queue., so a venue or a corporate client can have the four pods built in their own colours. Common questions
How does it play? Each player clips into the harness at their own station and heads for the stone ring in the middle, hauling the cord out behind them, then gets pulled back to their corner with whatever they managed to grab.
