Description
The Race Derby lays three numbered lanes side by side under tall red arches, with blue floors striped in yellow and green padded rails dividing the runs. Large white numbers mark lanes one, two and three at each end, white bars cross one set of arches, and FINISH is printed straight across the lane floors. At 9 feet tall it is one of the few race games that sets up indoors without an argument about ceiling height.

Design details

Where it earns
Three lanes means three go at once, and a race game that clears its queue three at a time is a very different economic proposition from one that takes a single player at a time. School field days, church festivals, company picnics, community fairs and grad nights all book it, and the numbered lanes let staff run scored heats, brackets and team relays instead of an unstructured line, which keeps the crowd on the attraction longer. The 9 foot height opens up winter gym work when your tall inventory is sitting in the warehouse., so a school district contract can be served with lanes built in the district's own colours.
